Stevenston Post Office is up for sale, with the owner planning to retire after more than 20 years running the Main Street shop.

John MacKintosh, who has run the Post Office for over 20 years, has decided to sell due to his impending retirement as sub-postmaster.

The sale is of the Post Office is being handled by Glasgow business agents Christie + Co. You can see more details about the Post Office here on their website.

According to the agents: "This is a well-established business... new owners could increase trade even further by focusing on developing the shops sales. This could be easily achieved as the post office is well-used and the shop is situated on a main thoroughfare with the benefit of good passing trade."

The Post Office is on the market at offers in excess of £235,000.
