Stevenston couple celebrate 50 golden years of marriage
5 AugustThere was a golden celebration for a Stevenston couple as they marked 50 years of marriage by flying out to Spain for a family holiday.
Tommy and Jean Wilson (nee Rainey) celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on Thursday 5th August, having been married in 1960 in Stevenston's Ardeer Parish Church, with the service carried out by family friend, Rev. William Weir.
Tommy (74) and Jean (69) first met back in the 1950's at a dance in Castlecraigs lounge, which is now the Ardrossan Civic Centre.
Ardrossan man Tommy worked in the central canteen and Jean in the detonator lab in the explosives factory at ICI, Stevenston before retiring.
