Police appeal after man assaulted in Stevenston street
22 JunePolice in Stevenston have appealed for witnesses after a 23-year-old man was assaulted in broad daylight by a gang of youths on Ardoch Crescent.
The man was found lying on the road after the attack in Stevenston at around 4.50pm on Saturday 19th June in Ardoch Crescent, near the junction with Trelawney Terrace.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock where he was treated for a head injury.
Detective Inspector John Hogg, of Strathclyde Police, said: "So far our enquiries have revealed that the 23-year-old man was assaulted by a group of men who then ran off.
"One of the attackers is described as being around 6ft tall with sandy coloured hair and he was wearing a white hooded top and black trousers.
"I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Ardoch Crescent around 4.45pm on Saturday 19 June and witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information than can help us trace those responsible."
