Man rescued from car after Stevenston road crash

A man has had to be rescued from his car by fire crews after a two-car collision in icy conditions in Stevenston.

Kilwinning firefighters were called into action on Stevenson's New Street on Monday 5th December, after a two-car road traffic collision at 6.08pm.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove a door from one of the vehicles, and one male casualty was taken to Crosshouse hospital suffering a broken leg.
