Level crossing to close for essential repairs

Drivers in Stevenston can expect delays over the next couple of weeks, with the both the level crossing and parts of George Street to be closed for essential maintenance.

Stevenston Level Crossing (Station Road and Shore Road) will be closed from 8am on Saturday, 30th January until 5.40am on Monday, 1st February. Parts of George Street will also be closed.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period, but for drivers alternative routes are as follows:-

Vehicles should proceed via Station Road, New Street, Main Street, Townhead Street, A738 Kilwinning Road, B752 Ardeer Access Road, Lundholm Road, Caledonian Road and vice versa.

George Street - vehicles should proceed via Shore Road, Clark Crescent, Carmyle Place.
