Jim Montgomerie wins Stevenston council by-election

Jim Montgomerie has been elected as the new councillor for Saltcoats and Stevenston ward following this week's by-election.

Elma Murray, as Returning Officer, declared that after application of the Single Transferable Vote count rules, Jim Montgomerie was duly elected to serve as Councillor for Ward 4 - Saltcoats and Stevenston.

The percentage poll was 25.42%

New councillor Jim will announce surgery details shortly however anyone in the interim can contact Jim Directly or via member services on 324170.
