Hit the right notes with Stevenston Musical Society

  • Join Stevenston Musical Society for their new session

Stevenston Musical Society is on the lookout for new members, and welcomes anyone who enjoys choral singing along to its rehearsals, ahead of its Christmas 2010 and summer 2011 concerts.

The society meets on Wednesday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm in Ardrossan Civic Centre - no auditions are required, and help is available for those who can't read music.

Hello, my first choice as a hobby for my retirement years was a choir.I retired in 1997 but I joined The Orpheus Male voice Choir in 1992 and it was the best thing I did for my retirement years. Check our our website at www.vancouverorpheus.org and see what type of music we sing, click on any of the MP3 icons and take a listen.I have dropped out of the choir just this year as I have trouble with both knee's and cannot stand on the riser's any more, but I sure miss the choir, I am a 1st tenor. The choir is a 50 male strong choir, mostly retired and we has sang all over the country, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Alberta, Saskaschewan and the choir is going to Ontario on the month of MAY this year. Of course we have sang all up and down British Columbia as well as around the Lower Mainland here. So good luck with your recruitment drive for new members.
