Memories of three-act plays at Ardeer hall...

Ron Fitzsimmons writes: “Here is a picture that was taken in 1964 when they did three-act plays at Ardeer recreation hall.

“My buddy Bert McMahon, he is the guy with the kilt on played Bonnie Prince Charlie and I am on the last guy top to right playing a soldier. We came in 2nd in the contest which was throughout Ayrshire , because Bert was supposed to have been chased all through the highlands, but look at him, he has not a hair out of place.

"We had a lot of fun back then when Ardeer factory sent us to school at Ardeer Recreational hall in Stevenston we went once a week back in 1964. Is the club still there or has it been torn down for housing ?"

Here is a picture that was taken in 1946 when they did 3 act plays at Ardeer recreation hall. My buddy Bert McMahon, he is the guy with the kilt on played Bonnie prince Charlie and I am on the last guy top to right playing a soldier. We came in 2nd in the contest which was throught Ayrshire, because Bert was supposed to have been chased all through the highlands, but look at him, he has not a hair out of place. We had some good times back then.

CHEERS,

RON.

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
